Following on from 'The Kenny Everett Explosion' that aired in 1970, 'The Kenney Everett Video Show,' aired eight years later, and really put Kenny's name on the comedy map.
As in his previous show, and highlighting his radio DJ roots, Kenny mixed pop music in with humour and short sketches. This pop music incorporated state of the art, visual and audio techniques, in which Kenny does not take enough praise for.
Some of the characters starring in his sketches were the likes of; Cupid Stunt - a woman with large breasts who behaved outrageously but 'in the best possible taste.' Sid Snot - an obnoxious, greasy biker, Marcel Wave - a Frenchman with a very thick accent. Angry of Mayfair - a ranting city gent foaming at the mouth, wearing stockings and suspenders, and Brother Lee Love - a gospel minister with enormous hands. You can see all of...
