"Ripping Yarns" (1977-1979)
Length: 30 minutes | Episodes: 9x30mins | Channel: BBC Two
'Ripping Yarns' was created and written by the former Python's Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
First shown in 1977, the BBC series starred Michael Palin as a different character in each of the nine episodes.
The BAFTA award winning series consisted on nine completely different parodies of early 20th century schoolboy literature.
There was also space for cameos of other Python's, as John Cleese and Eric Idle popped up occasionally. The show had nine thirty minutes episodes in 1977.
